Choose the Right Size Unit

Label Everything Clearly
Taking time to label your boxes can save you hours later. Use bold, waterproof markers to write contents on at least two sides of each box, and include the room or category (e.g., "Kitchen – Glassware" or "Garage – Tools"). Consider using color-coded labels or stickers for added organization. A simple labeling system makes it easier to locate things quickly—especially if you plan to access your unit multiple times.
Create a Walkway in Your Unit
Resist the urge to pack every inch of your unit. Leaving a small aisle or open space—especially down the center—lets you reach items stored in the back without unloading everything in front.
